FoodOxys is a pioneering biotechnology company and a spin-off of the University of Thessaly, headquartered in Larissa. The company was established in 2019 by a team of bioscientists from the Department of Biochemistry and Biotechnology.

The FoodOxys scientific team consists of distinguished researchers with extensive experience in the research fields of “Nutritional Biochemistry” and “Human Metabolism”. Over the last 20 years, the FoodOxys scientific team has published over 250 articles in international peer-reviewed scientific journals.

The primary focus of the scientific articles is the evaluation of food quality and bioactivity, as well as the investigation of the beneficial properties of food products rich in bioactive compounds, exercise, and intermittent fasting on human metabolism.
